Man allegedly gives Gluckstadt police fake identity to avoid aggravated assault warrant

Gluckstadt Police Department arrested a man who gave them a fake name to avoid a warrant in Jackson on Wednesday.

A release says officers conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 55 northbound near mile marker 114. During the stop, officers made contact with a man who initially provided a false identity.

Upon further investigation, the individual was identified as Dalin Marquise Stewart. Stewart was allegedly in possession of a stolen firearm and marijuana. After he was taken into custody and booked, it was determined that he had an outstanding warrant with the Jackson Police Department for Aggravated Assault…
