JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – The Ronald McDonald House in Jackson has been a lifeline for families of critically ill children for decades. A local group is stepping up to help them continue their work.
The Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for families with children undergoing medical treatment. The Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation Women’s Committee is helping lighten their load with a donation of household supplies, snacks and other essentials.

“They don’t have to pay for it. They don’t have to worry about it, and they didn’t have to bring it from home. Everything is provided for that family. When they need to wash their clothes, the laundry room is stocked. Everything they need is taken care of. And then they realize somebody else has thought about them. That’s what Farm Bureau Federation has done. They brought it, and now these families don’t have to worry,” said Ruth Ann Allen, with the Ronald McDonald House.
The Women’s Committee has been donating for years, knowing that anytime a loved one could be in the same situation…
