The Mississippi House on Friday sent a bill to Gov. Tate Reeves’ desk that would eliminate the state income tax, but the legislation passed with blatant, unintended errors that would drastically speed up the tax cut.
As for Reeves, he said is willing to sign the bill with the errors anyway.
Reeves took to X, formerly Twitter, congratulating House leadership for passing legislation to eliminate the income tax, shave the grocery sales tax from 7% to 5% and raise the gas tax by nine cents over three years.
