JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Nearly 50 years ago, Andrew Young came out of college with a dream to be an artist, leading to the creation of Pearl River Glass which has become a staple, not just in the Capital City, but across the country.
“My college roommate, Reggie Dufrees, came and we started the studio in October of 1975 and moved on to Milsaps Avenue in 1976 and we’ve been here on Millsaps Avenue for the last 50 years,” Young said.
It was truly a dream turned into a reality for Young who simply wanted to be an artist, but found himself in a world he could not leave…
