Mississippi man wanted for stealing checks from mailboxes in Livingston Parish

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A man is wanted by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office after being accused of stealing checks from the mailboxes of citizens.

Investigators with the LPSO Financial Crimes Unit received complaints of mail theft. LPSO Sheriff Jason Ard said the complaints led investigators to find checks that were reportedly washed and cashed in person at banks in Walker.
