JANS – Maryonna Chambers, a 22-year-old native of Jackson, Miss., has made history as the first graduate of Alcorn State University’s College of Agriculture and Applied Science 3+1 Program, a unique collaboration with Mississippi State University.
Chambers credits the program with broadening her educational horizons and significantly enhancing her marketability. “I was able to meet new people that I now call friends, and my teachers from both schools were great and helpful whenever I needed guidance,” she said.
