First Alert Forecast: An unsettled weather pattern sets up for the rest of the week

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Today: Mostly sunny skies continue as temperatures climb back to the 80s. Clouds will increase in the evening as warm, moist air settles in and overnight lows only bottom out in the 70s. The rain holds off Tuesday night but there may be a few showers around for the Wednesday morning commute.

Wednesday: The start to your Wednesday will be quiet for most with temperatures in the 70s. Clouds clear out in the afternoon as highs reach the upper 80s. There is an isolated chance for storms Wednesday evening, mainly for areas in the Lower Delta as a slight risk (2/5) is in place. A marginal risk (1/5) remains in place for areas along and north of I-20. The main threats for any storms that do become severe will be damaging wind and hail. The cold front, however, looks to stall out to the north, meaning most of us will stay Wednesday night and into Thursday morning.
