JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Some plants need to come with a warning label, including the yellow flag iris.
Twenty or so years ago, I dug one out of my mother’s side yard to transplant into my flower bed. I’m warning others not to plant them unless you really, really love them. You will never be able to get rid of them or be able to contain them.
The flowers have spread into all of the other flower beds in the yard, and I have not transplanted them there.
