Wingard Home, a long-standing beacon of hope for the homeless community in Jackson, is reaching out to the public for support as it works to meet the daily needs of the men, women, and children it serves.
The nonprofit ministry, which provides shelter and resources to families and individuals experiencing homelessness, has released a list of urgently needed items to help keep operations running smoothly and ensure residents are comfortable and well-cared for.
Current needs include:
- Bottled water
- Coffee
- Laundry supplies
- Dawn dish soap
- New standard-size pillows
- Kids’ snacks, breakfast foods, and treats
- Canned meats
- Dried fruit
- Disposable plates, bowls, cups, and plastic flatware
- A barbecue grill to reduce heat buildup in the ministry’s community dining area
In a post shared by the organization, staff expressed appreciation to those who have supported them through prayer, donations, and word-of-mouth.
