‘We do want justice for her’: JPD, family wants public’s help in solving in 2021 death of 62-year-old mother

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Lashaun Jones still gets choked up talking about her mother.

On Wednesday, Jones appeared alongside Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade and Deputy Chief Sequerna Banks, where she pleaded for the public’s help in finding the person who killed her mother, Ella James Jones.

“I know we’re in a different era of time where the village doesn’t want to say anything. But she was the village. She loved people. She wasn’t just our family, she was your family, too,” she said…
