JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – This Weekend: Saturday has started off with widespread heavy rain. This is expected to continue throughout most of the day, with conditions drying out a little bit into the evening hours. Showers are expected to keep temperatures down across the area with highs only warming into the upper 60s to low 70s. Sunday will begin with overcast skies. Breaks of sunshine are possible throughout the day with scattered thunderstorms forming to our east in the afternoon. There is an isolated chance for large hail or strong wind gusts with these storms between 2-10 pm. Keep an umbrella or rain jacket handy. Highs will stay comfortably in the 70s.
