Scattered showers and storms likely for Father’s Day

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -Sunday morning has begun with mostly cloudy skies and stray showers. Temperatures are pretty mild, beginning in the low 70s and warming to the upper 80s by this afternoon. During this time, scattered thunderstorms are expected to pop up and become more widespread in the early evening hours before dissipating overnight. The main threats expected from these storms are gusty winds, small hail, and heavy downpours in these short-lived storms. Most of them should remain below severe levels, but an isolated warning or two cannot be completely ruled out.
