JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – As we approach what would have been the 100th birthday of Civil Rights icon Medgar Evers, the Two Mississippi Museums are honoring his life and legacy with free admission on July 2.
“We are approaching the 100th anniversary, the birthday of Medgar Evers, which will be on July 2nd. And on that day, museum staff will be doing stair flash tours of the galleries to highlight Medgar Evers throughout the galleries,” said Nan Prince, Mississippi Department of Archives and History (MDAH) director of collections.
