JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -Half of Jackson’s main water treatment plant was shut down for five days back in February, and chances are, you didn’t notice it at the tap.
Data obtained by 3 On Your Side shows the city’s two water treatment facilities have faced at least 10 interruptions in service since last May, including in February, when the conventional side of the O.B. Curtis Plant was offline for nearly a week.
Interim Third-Party Manager Ted Henifin said JXN Water was able to compensate for the loss, in part, by ramping up production at the J.H. Fewell Plant and by doing the same on the Curtis Plant’s membrane treatment side…
