JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – John Horhn said as a child, when he went to his dad with a problem, his dad would ask one question: “What are you going to do about it?”
On Tuesday, Jackson’s newest mayor said he’s uniquely qualified to solve many of the city’s ongoing problems, but in an inaugural speech that was more a call to action, he says everyone’s going to have to pitch in.
“There is excitement and there is readiness all over our community. Folks are tired of Jackson looking the way it looks. You’re tired of the fact that in certain parts of the city, you’re scared to leave home. In other parts of the city, you’re scared to stay home,” he said. “We have got to decide that we’re going to do something about Jackson, and I do believe the folks are ready.”…
