LORMAN, Miss. (WJTV) – Mississippi’s academic institutions continue to make strides as Alcorn State University and Belhaven University have been added to a list of the best.
Alcorn State and Belhaven were named to Money’s Best Colleges of 2025. This marks the third year in a row for Alcorn State University to be named to this list. Alcorn State is also the only four-year public Historically Black College and University in Mississippi chosen for this year’s ranking.

As for Belhaven, this marks the second year in a row for their institution to make this list, marking them as the only private university in Mississippi to have been named to the 2024 and 2025 lists…
