JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police announced a 16-year-old was arrested in connection to the shooting death of a man.
Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said Justus Taylor, 16, was arrested on July 14 and charged with murder. He appeared in court on July 15 and was denied bond.

The shooting occurred in the 900 block of Cooper Road on July 4. Police said the victim, 23-year-old Gabriel King, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Brown previously announced that two adults and two teenagers were arrested in connection to the fatal shooting. Cameron Russell, 24; Justin Taylor, 17; and Jaquavion Clark, 17; were charged with murder. Daniel Taylor, 22, was charged with accessory after the fact.
Russell received a $30,000 bond. Daniel Taylor received a $25,000 bond. Justin Taylor was given a $30,000 bond. Jaquavion Clark was denied bond…
