FIRST ALERT FORECAST

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A heat advisory is in effect for Sunday, from 10 am to 8 pm. With afternoon high temps getting to 96, the heat index values can climb to between 105 and 110 degrees. Rain chances will remain low for us heading into the new week, generally around 20%. The humidity increases mid-week, so expect the feels-like temperatures to climb into the extremely dangerous zone, near 110 degrees. The next best chance for rain comes our way next weekend, but right now it isn’t looking very impressive.
