JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -We’re in for another hot day, but the good news is that Heat Advisories are beginning to ease across much of the region. Afternoon temperatures will still rise into the low to mid 90s, and with the humidity, it could feel more like 105° to 110°.
A Heat Advisory remains in effect for areas west of I-55. Please take precautions: stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours, and take frequent breaks in the shade or indoors to prevent heat-related illness.
In addition to the heat, we’re also monitoring a good chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms developing throughout the day. Keep an umbrella or rain gear handy, storms are expected to begin around 11 AM and could continue into the evening hours, wrapping up around 8 PM…
