JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested a 22-year-old man who was accused of shooting his juvenile girlfriend.
The shooting occurred in the 1400 block of Dewey Street on July 24.

Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said officers responded to Merit Health and discovered that the juvenile had sustained a gunshot wound to her lower abdomen.
During an investigation, police determined the victim was shot by her boyfriend, Jermaine Bradley, 22. He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, statutory rape and exploitation of a minor.
Bradley was denied bond during his initial court appearance on July 25.
