JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) –
Scattered showers and storms will continue Saturday, but less widespread than Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will reach the low 90s. It might feel decent shortly before and after the rain, but once you get into a lull and have a break in the clouds, the temperatures will feel more like the upper 90s to triple digits. Continue to take heat safety precautions, even in this break from extreme temperatures!
As soon as rain chances decline on Sunday, which they will, temperatures start to climb. Highs are expected to be back in the mid-90s by the end of the weekend, and the upper 90s to near 100 at the start of next week. That will be as high pressure takes back over. Since the moisture levels will not change, it will FEEL more like 110-115 degrees…..
