Crayfish Diversity and Conservation in Mississippi

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks’ (MDWFP) Mississippi Museum of Natural Science (MMNS) will host “First Tuesday Lectures.”

The museum will host “Crayfish, Crawfish, or Crawdads? Crayfish Diversity and Conservation in Mississippi” on August 5 at noon. Conservation Resource Biologist Calvin Rezac will share ongoing efforts to understand and conserve the 68 species of crayfish native to Mississippi.

The hour-long lectures are included with museum admission or MMNS Foundation Membership.
