The City of Jackson has launched a new planning study aimed at reimagining the State Street corridor and improving transit access from Fondren to Jackson State University.
Dubbed the “ONELINE Corridor Development Study,” the project will explore enhanced bus service, pedestrian and bike infrastructure and ways to encourage future development along the route. Officials say public feedback this summer will help shape the plan, which is backed by a federal grant and expected to wrap by spring 2026.
