JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson Mayor John Horhn addressed key issues facing the capital city during a news conference on Wednesday.
“Public safety is our number one priority. And so, it is my goal to make sure that we have more resources going to police and fire, our first responders. And, I want to, but whatever money we’re able to have increased raises for police and fire, but also better equipment and better technology,” the mayor said.
With a shrinking population, Horhn said city departments are in an assessment period, and the city has to make some tough financial decisions…
