BRANDON, Miss. (WLBT) – On Tuesday, Aug. 5, the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office received a call claiming someone had been shot and two others were being held hostage at a Brandon home.
When a large police presence arrived at the scene, they quickly realized the call was fake and residents had no idea why the police were called.
