Ten local 4-H members attended the State 4-H Shooting Sports event on July 18-19 at MLEOTA and Capital Gun Club in Pearl and Jackson. 4-H members earned this opportunity by qualifying at their district event.
These participants excelled in their disciplines and completed a total of 10 hours of safety training prior to their event. Certified volunteer leaders work with members through the months of February to July to help instill safe practices, familiarize participants with range procedures and courses of fire, and provide opportunities for youth to hone skills…
