WLBT FIRST ALERT FORECAST

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – It’s going to stay very hot over the next several days. A strong area of high pressure over the Desert Southwest is starting to weaken, which will let weather patterns shift more west to east across the northern U.S. Meanwhile, a tropical wave moving in from the south will bring more moisture and winds from the east. This means we’ll see higher humidity and better chances for rain early next week. Late Monday and Tuesday, showers and thunderstorms are likely.
