Crystal Springs Police Chief Addresses Recent Crime Spike

The Crystal Springs Police Department is taking action following a recent increase in criminal activity, according to a message from Chief Robert Thomas that was shared on Facebook.

Chief Thomas said they have seen a rise in several categories of crime, including auto burglaries, vehicle thefts, property theft from yards and porches, and curfew violations involving minors under 17. The city’s 10:00 p.m. curfew is intended to protect youth, but officers report an increase in violations.
