Run Sickle Cell in the Dirt Rodeo held in Mississippi

COPIAH COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – The 6th Annual Run Sickle Cell in the Dirt Rodeo was held in Copiah County on August 16.

The rodeo features bull riding and horseback riding, while also supporting the mission to find a cure for sickle cell.

“My dad got sickle cell, and I’m a rodeo announcer. And I was like, ‘Hey, we might as well put together a rodeo to help find a cure for sickle cell and donate to the Mississippi Sickle Cell Foundation.’ So, that’s what gave me the drive to put this rodeo all right here tonight,” said Jalen James, the rodeo producer…
