Gluckstadt Town Hall addresses infrastructure, safety

GLUCKSTADT, Miss. (WJTV) – During a town hall meeting on Thursday at the city’s new municipal court, Gluckstadt leaders opened the floor for residents to ask questions.

They discussed several matters, including infrastructure, city growth and development, and business opportunities. Residents had questions about flooding within certain neighborhoods, the possibility of new food chains, and whether the city would get a library.

“Things have to really be prioritized, and if you had to list the things that are of, you know, how important, I think our police protection and then this enormous traffic problem that we’ve got are really some of the basic things that the city has to do. And so, you know, I think that one day we will have a library, but it has not been discussed, and it’s certainly not on the drawing board right now,” said Gluckstadt Mayor Walter Morrison.

City leaders said they’re working to address all issues in a timely matter and continue investments that ensure growth for Gluckstadt.
