HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – One woman was killed and her sister was injured during a crash in Hinds County.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Dry Grove Road and Lebanon Pine Grove Road around 5:00 p.m. on August 23, 2025.
Father of five killed in hit-and-run while helping stranger, family says
Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones said the victims were identified as Loretta Steele and Ora Steele. He said Loretta died from her injuries, and Ora was in serious condition.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
