Capital City Revitalization Select Committee meets to discuss issues

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Jackson Mayor John Horhn, alongside Sheriff Tyree Jones in his new role as interim Jackson police chief, both took their seats at the table of the Capital City Revitalization Select Committee meeting to discuss a variety of ongoing issues across the metro area and to outline future plans to fix them.

“We came to talk about what’s going on in the city of Jackson: what our vision is, what are the kinds of things we’re doing to try to turn our city around,” Horhn said. “We talked about everything, including crime, blight, workforce development, economic development.”
