Mayor: Portions of $40M bond to go toward Thalia Mara Hall, street repaving

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A portion of a $40 million bond issue will likely go to repairing Jackson’s municipal auditorium.

That’s according to Mayor John Horhn, who made the announcement at Tuesday’s city council meeting.

“The building in question in this case is Thalia Mara Hall. We have to get that facility back to its past glory, and so in this particular case, any building improvements will be directed toward Thalia Mara,” he said…
