JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -Rain chances are increasing today as a weak boundary moves into the region, providing lift. With plenty of moisture in place, this will support scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. This unsettled pattern continues into tomorrow before drier conditions gradually return later in the week. Temperatures will climb steadily, reaching the mid-90s by Friday.
This weekend, we will see a split forecast with very warm temperatures and a chance for scattered storms on Saturday, but by Sunday, we will see temperatures back down in the 80s and humidity on the decline.
A brief cooldown is expected early next week, but until then, temperatures will remain slightly above average…
