Man accused of killing two in Rankin County denied bond

RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – The man accused of killing two people in Rankin County made his initial appearance in court on September 3, 2025.

Matthew Brian Kidd is facing charges for murder and burglary in the City of Brandon. On the murder charge, Kidd was denied bond. He received a $500,000 bond for the burglary charge.

During his court appearance via Zoom, Kidd waived his right to a preliminary hearing.
