JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – After five years of negotiations between the hotel’s owner and the Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration, an agreement was finally reached to demolish the former Regency Hotel in Jackson.
The hotel is located on Greymont Street, across from the Mississippi Coliseum and Mississippi State Fairgrounds in Downtown Jackson.
“It’s been a dangerous situation. I don’t know what all they’ve been doing over there, but it hasn’t been a lot of good things happening at that place,” said Andy Gipson, Mississippi Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce…
