Jackson Ward 3 residents raise safety concerns

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson City Councilman Kenneth Stokes, Ward 3, held a community meeting on September 4 to give members of his ward the opportunity to voice their concerns.

Neighbors had questions about safety and infrastructure. The residents of Ward 3 said they don’t believe they’re being prioritized by the city.

“We haven’t been getting responsive answers about the number of officers on our beat. We haven’t been getting responsive or effective solutions to having officers respond to calls that don’t know our neighborhood at all. And they’re not even from our precinct,” said Anthony Moore, who lives in the Georgetown community…
