JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – In Jackson, families, advocates and former public servants gathered outside the Hinds County Chancery Court to demand transparency and accountability in the family court system.
Speakers said they’ve faced years of delays, denied visitation and unexplained rulings. Some families claimed their evidence and witnesses have been ignored, leaving them without a fair hearing.

“It’s been 1,000 days since my grandson has been away from my family with a temporary no contact order. Imagine the system being used against an innocent child to keep them from telling the truth of his abuse. Well, that is exactly what has happened,” said Dolister Sanders, who spoke at the event.
