Main break prompts boil water notice in Edwards

EDWARDS, Miss. (WJTV) – A systemwide boil water notice has been issued for the Town of Edwards.

According to the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH), the notice affects 706 customers. The notice was issued due to a main break.

MDWFP alerts hunters about CWD zones for deer season

Earlier this week, Mayor LeKentric Caston announced crews could make water leak repairs on September 12, 2025, and that there would be a temporary outage.

Health officials strongly recommend that all water be boiled vigorously for one minute before it is consumed. The water system will be notified when tests show that the water is safe to drink.
