Florence Middle School would like to congratulate assistant principal Kelsey Williams on completing her doctoral degree in educational leadership from The University of Southern Mississippi. This summer she completed her course work, successfully defended her dissertation, and, after a three-year journey, officially became Dr. Kelsey Williams, Ed. D.
Florence Middle School (FMS) is extremely proud of her hard work and accomplishment! In the process of earning her degree, Dr. Williams excellently fulfilled all of her roles at FMS while also completing a difficult load of coursework. She has just entered her twelfth year in education, all of which are in the Rankin County School District. She began her career teaching middle school math at Pelahatchie and taught there for seven years; in her last three years at PHS, she served as the transportation director for the zone.
In 2021, Florence Middle School was blessed to gain Dr. Williams as an assistant principal, and she is beginning her fifth year in that role.
