The Mississippi Department of Transportation released an update on May 30 regarding ongoing projects and included the SR 477/West Rankin Parkway currently under construction. The four-mile, four-lane parkway connecting Flowood Drive to Highway 80 in Pearl will also open approximately 1,000 acres of land for commercial development.
“Earthwork operations are complete, and asphalt paving is underway,” said MDOT Public Information Officer Michael Flood. “Most of the remaining work includes asphalt placement followed by concrete flatwork. [At this time], crews are ahead of schedule.”…
