CANTON, Miss. (WJTV) – Dr. Juanita Sims Doty was recognized for her hard work as an educator, a human rights advocate and an entrepreneur. The Canton native received a commemorative marker and gazebo bench dedicated to her on October 19, 2025.
Jackson Mayor John Horhn said Doty’s contagious spirit allows her to reach and engage with so many people.
