JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – After an increase in accidents on I-20 between Hinds and Warren Counties, 3 On Your Side spoke to officials from the Mississippi Department of Transportation and the Mississippi Highway Patrol about driving in work construction zones.
Michael Flood, Public Information Officer at the Mississippi Department of Transportation, said that six bridges are under construction right now on I-20 and advised everyone to use caution, as well as reminded everyone how to safely drive through these zones.
“Over the next year, as you’re driving down I-20, especially between Jackson and Vicksburg, it’s very important to drive slow, put the phone down, and pay attention to these posted warning signs that we have in place,” Flood said…
