JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – The University of Mississippi Medical Center was formally dedicated 70 years ago, on October 24, 1955.
Governor Hugh White led the ceremony to open the new facility at the corner of State Street and Woodrow Wilson Avenue.
That was “out from town” back then, and the campus was much smaller, but it would soon grow into the expansive complex we know today…
