JACKSON, Miss. – Thick morning fog rolls through the capital city this Monday, dimming headlights and blurring outlines along I-20 and U.S. 49. The damp, heavy air will lift through midmorning before a mild, partly sunny stretch gives way to a stormier pattern Tuesday night.

According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, Monday stays mostly calm with highs near 73 degrees and a light northwest breeze. Patchy fog could reduce visibility below a half mile in rural spots until around 9 a.m., so drivers should slow down and keep headlights on low beam.
