FLOWOOD, Miss. (WLBT) – A Rankin County woman claims a towing company quoted a free tow to its lot after a crash in Flowood, then charged her about $600 to retrieve the vehicle.
Mary Hawkins told 3 On Your Side that, after officers responded to her wreck, a tow truck driver gave her two options: pay $280 to take the vehicle to her home or have it taken to the company’s lot for free.
“They reiterated three times, ‘free,’” she said. “Okay, fine, and then I’ll come pick it up on Monday.”…
