Boil-Water Alert Issued for Woodacre Rd and Whitestone Rd Residents After Water Repairs

On October 28, 2025, the City of Jackson-jxn Water issued a Boil-Water Alert for about 28 connections in the Woodacre Rd and Whitestone Rd areas of Hinds County, Mississippi. The alert followed repair work on the water system, which caused a temporary drop in water pressure. This drop can let contaminants enter the water supply. Officials will test the water to confirm when it is safe.

Residents at [701-743] Woodacre Rd and [6202-6244] Whitestone Rd should boil tap water for at least one minute before using it for drinking, making ice, preparing drinks, or brushing teeth. Do not use water fountains or make ice with unboiled tap water. Freezing does not remove bacteria.

The city recommends using boiled water or disposable plates for washing dishes. Wash fruits and vegetables with boiled or bottled water. Bathing and handwashing are safe if water is not swallowed. Properly chlorinated swimming pools are not affected…
