VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg native Levi Wyatt turned in one of his best performances for Jackson State University on Saturday, helping lead the Tigers to a 42-3 rout of Mississippi Valley State. The defensive back was a force in the secondary, recording three pass deflections as JSU’s defense held the Delta Devils without a touchdown.
Wyatt, in his first season with Jackson State, has quickly made his presence known after transferring from McNeese State University. During his time at McNeese, he posted 33 total tackles — 23 of them solo — along with two tackles for loss, eight pass breakups, and a forced fumble. As a sophomore, he started all 10 games and led the team with seven pass breakups, ranking third in the Southland Conference.
