JACKSON — A 56-year-old Jackson woman was arrested Saturday after authorities said she struck and killed a man while driving under the influence.
The Jackson Police Department responded around 11 a.m. to reports of a crash on Highway 80 near Ellis Avenue involving a white GMC Envoy. Officers determined the driver, Monica Magee, was intoxicated at the time of the collision.
The victim, a 56-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner recovered the body, and notification of next of kin is pending…
