CRYSTAL SPRINGS — A man was shot by state agents during a foot chase around 6 p.m. Tuesday near South Jackson Street in Crystal Springs.
Authorities say Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics agents were conducting a joint operation when they encountered several people suspected of possible illegal activity. As agents attempted to make contact, a passenger got out of a vehicle and ran. During the brief chase, the individual presented what appeared to be a weapon, and an agent fired.
The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. No agents were hurt…
